The Brand New Heavies are back. Surely, for the legion of fans in London quartet was no surprise that the concert the band played at the legendary Roxy Nightclub in Los Angeles back in 2006, marked his triumphant return to the U.S., after almost a decade Americans have walked on the stage.
What no doubt it has surprised all and sundry is that, almost five years later, The Brand New Heavies continue touring with a show that has transcended with occasional much a reunion tour. After five years of continuous activity and having taken his legendary repertoire from acid jazz to places as disparate as Singapore, Bermuda, the Philippines, Australia and Japan, we can say without fear of contradiction that we are witnessing the rebirth of one of the most innovative and influential arising from the European scene over the past 15 years.
Now, as already preparing new material to be released this year, The Brand New Heavies have embarked on a new European tour in which, finally, pass through our country with stops in Madrid and Barcelona. The Madrid fans will have the opportunity to attend live the return of the band with the original and the incredible voice of N'Dee Davenport at the top. Be held at The Riviera on 25 May.
